Light the first purple candle. This candle
represents Hope.
We can have Hope because God is with us and is Faithful to keep His promises He made to us.

Romans 15:12-13 (ASV)
12. And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be
the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; on him shall
the Gentiles hope.
13. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
This candle is also the
"Prophecy" Candle. The Prophecy Candle represents the prophets who
foretold the birth of Jesus.
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose going forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
